A certified true copy of a passport is an official reproduction of your passport that has been verified and authenticated by a notary public as being a true, accurate, and complete copy of the original document. The notary examines your original passport, compares it to the copy, and certifies that the copy is identical to the original. This certified copy can then be used in place of your original passport for various administrative, legal, and business purposes where proof of identity or citizenship is required but submitting the original passport is not possible or advisable.
